Body Contouring

Body contouring is a blanket term for procedures that change the shape of the body, from removing excess fat to tightening loose and sagging skin. It includes surgical procedures such as liposuction or body lifts, as well as non-surgical fat reduction.

Liposuction is a way to shape and contour the body, producing dramatic changes in a small amount of time by removing stubborn fatty deposits under the skin. Although liposuction is most often associated with the thighs and abdomen, liposuction can be performed on many places of the body, such as the thighs, abdomen, arms, back, and chin.

Vaser liposuction (ultrasonic) and Smartlipo (laser) are types of liposuction that use heat to liquify the fat prior to removal. The heat promotes collagen production and skin tightening.

Body lift

Body lift surgery is a tool to lift and tighten the skin and shape of various parts of the body. It removes excess skin and some fat, and can be performed on both men and women. This is most commonly performed on the stomach, back, buttocks, or thighs. Body lifts can be customized to include the full body, mid body, or lower body. A body lift is can remove some fat deposits, but it is mainly used to remove excess skin, not excess fat. If you are looking for a procedure to remove excess fat, a body lift can be combined with liposuction. A body lift is often combined with a thigh lift or an arm lift. Body lifts are often performed on patients that have undergone weight loss surgery. The loose skin cannot be corrected with exercise. The excess skin is removed to contour and give a better shape to the body.

A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that can lift and tighten loose and sagging skin on the thighs. This procedure tightens dimpled skin as well, and targets both the inner and outer areas of the thigh.

An arm lift, also known as a brachioplasty, is a procedure that tightens loose and sagging skin on the upper arms, as well as removing excess fat.

Tummy tuck

A tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that lifts and tightens the shape and contours of the abdomen. This procedure removes excess fat and skin and tightens the muscles on the abdomen.

Mommy Makeover

A “mommy makeover” is a common term for a combination of procedures that address common side effects of pregnancy all over the body, including loose skin, stretched muscles, and sagging breasts. A full mommy makeover can include a tummy tuck, breast augmentation, breast lift, buttock augmentation, liposuction, and vaginal rejuvenation. The procedures are all performed at the same time, so there is only one recovery period.

Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian butt lift, also known as a BBL, is a surgical procedure that transfers fat from other parts of the body to the buttocks, as well as shaping the butt. Fat is taken usually from the stomach, back, or thighs, and transferred to the butt. This procedure increases the size of the butt without the use of implants. Liposuction is used to remove fat from unwanted areas of the body, and is reinserted into the buttocks. This gives the butt a rounder and fuller appearance, resulting in a curvier appearance to the figure.

Non-Surgical Fat Reduction

Procedures such as Coolsculpting are non-invasive methods of fat removal. Coolsculpting is a procedure that uses cold temperatures to freeze unwanted fat cells. This can result in a twenty to twenty-five percent reduction of fat cells within one to three months of the procedure. Though it is not as effective as surgical procedures such as liposuction, it can be a good option for those who do not want surgery or want a less invasive procedure.

Sculpsure is a noninvasive laser technique used to contour the body. Warmth is used to destroy the fat cells instead of cold temperatures. It does not replace liposuction but can provide results for those who want less invasive techniques.

Gynecomastia is also known as Enlarged Male Breast Tissue. A number of factors can contribute to an overdeveloped or enlarged breast tissue in males, ranging from hormones to genetic factors. This can be corrected by gynecomastia surgery.
