I had considered cosmetic surgery for many years and did consult with my share of physicians.  You were a referral and upon meeting you I knew right away that you were the right fit for me.

Thank you so much for the great deal of care and concern that you demonstrated throughout my entire surgical process beginning with the initial consultation.  You were patient, detailed oriented and thorough in answering all of my questions with a great deal of knowledge and confidence.

You listened intently to what I want and subsequently the result of my surgery is amazing! I've continued to follow Doctor's Orders and my recovery and healing has also been amazing.  The incision made for my tummy tuck is so precise and hidden by a simple bikini that I'm looking forward to hitting the beach this summer (two piece in tow).

Dr. Hardaway is an incredible surgeon. I am so thankful to have found her because she is truly a one in a million doctor. I have known Dr. Hardaway for a year and a half and in that time she has exceeded my expectations of a plastic surgeon in every way. I have had multiple surgeries with her, her skills are superior in every procedure and her attention to detail is flawless. I have been extremely satisfied with the results of my procedures and sincerely impressed by how wonderfully everything turned out.

Regardless, there are many plastic surgeons that can provide a patient with beautiful and physically appealing results. The thing that sets Dr. Hardaway apart in her field is her individualized focus on what the patient wants and combining that with her immense knowledge and experience of the most realistic outcome for each procedure. We have discussed a number of different surgery options and if she thinks that a certain one will not give me the outcome that I am looking for then she will not recommend it even though it would have been to her benefit financially to do the procedure. 

It is easy to see that Dr. Hardaway is not just in this profession for the money, in fact her prices are far more reasonable than any other doctor that I had a consultation with while I was researching my options for a plastic surgeon. I took the process of finding a plastic surgeon extremely seriously because after all I was going to spend a lot of time and money on this and of course I was entrusting my physical appearance to someone else. After “interviewing” a number of doctors I chose Dr. Hardaway even though her office is 40 minutes away from me because I was so impressed by her and her staff. Her staff is courteous, professional and helpful yet they are also friendly and warm. I appreciated the fact that they made me feel comfortable before a procedure when I was feeling nervous. They also showed me a video that explained my procedure in depth so I knew everything about it beforehand which I really valued.

During my first consultation with Dr. Hardaway I was struck by how she took the time to really listen to what I wanted and patiently answered each question I had (and I had a lot of them!) She also made sure to explain each procedure in a way that I could really understand it, this was different from a lot of other doctors who even though they knew I wasn’t a doctor they still did not fully explain all the medical terms they used so I ended up being confused about what exactly would be done to me, which is a scary feeling. Dr. Hardaway was not like this at all. Despite being incredibly skilled and recognized in her field she is still very humble and down-to-earth and just wants to do her job the best she can and give the best outcome to her patients. Even though she is extremely busy and focused on her work I always appreciated that she would listen to and address each of my concerns and never made it seem like she was in a hurry even though I’m sure she always had a million things to do. I mentioned to her that I was moving out of state and she would take the time to ask about that. I remember being surprised that she remembered that because of everything else she must have on her mind. In my experience all of these aspects about Dr. Hardaway and how she treats her patients are really unique among plastic surgeons and doctors in general.

Besides finding a doctor that I was comfortable with it was also very important to me to find a highly qualified plastic surgeon. I was reassured by Dr. Hardaway's credentials which are highly impressive. She is not just a doctor with her own private practice she is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Wayne State University, she was Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Detroit’s Receiving Hospital and Director of the Burn Center there, and she is an American Board Certified Plastic Surgeon among her many other qualifications.  

During one procedure that I had done Dr. Hardaway could have chosen to create the most aesthetically appealing result in one area of my body but by doing so there was the possibility that I would have had reduced sensation there because of the tissue that she would have had to remove. Instead of taking that risk in favor of the best physical result and even though it was only a possibility that I would have reduced sensation there, Dr. Hardaway decided to not do so because she was more concerned about me being satisfied afterwards emotionally and overall. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated her consideration and concern in that matter. Dr. Hardaway continued to impress me with her follow-up care by making herself available by phone after the procedure, I had to call her once at 10 o’clock at night when some of my stitches came open, and she returned my call immediately.

Originally I was surprised to learn that Dr. Hardaway does not advertise like those doctors that you hear on the radio or see on billboards or T.V. But after being her patient I realized that she does not have to because her work speaks for itself. Dr. Hardaway's clients come to her by word of mouth because of the excellent results and the always professional yet understanding and respectful way that she treats her patients. I could not recommend Dr. Hardaway any more highly; if you want the most positive plastic surgery experience she is the best. Thank you so much Dr. Hardaway! I wish you all the best!
